Christmas and NYE 2021 in Whistler

There's no better place than Whistler, British Columbia to enjoy the holiday season. With the majestic Whistler Village full of lights, pathways covered in snow, and plenty of holiday events and activities to explore, it's a true winter wonderland sure to please your entire family.

Choose from skiing or snowboarding every day (even Christmas Day and New Year's Day), attending one of the many special events (many of which are free), eating at one of the many restaurants, or maybe you would prefer to stay in the comfort of your own suite. The options to choose from are endless. The holiday season attracts visitors, far and wide, to Whistler with its magnetic appeal. Get caught up in the winter scenery or participate in one of the many activities that are fun for the whole family such as tubing, ice skating, snowmobiling or Vallea Lumina. 

NOTE: New Provincial Health Orders in effect until January 18, 2022

British Columbia revised the provincial health officer orders taking effect Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at 11:59 p.m. until January 18, 2022, at 11:59 p.m.

The new Provincial Health Orders includes:

• no organized indoor social events and gatherings of any size;

• concerts, sports games, and theatres reduced to 50% seated capacity, regardless of venue size;

• closing gyms, fitness centres, and dance studios (exercise facilities at hotels are exempt when they are used by registered guests only;

• closing bars and nightclubs; and

• limiting table sizes at restaurants, cafes, and pubs to a maximum of six people per table with physical distancing or barriers.

These restrictions are in addition to the revised orders that took effect on Monday, December 20.

Any services, or programs that are organized outside of Blackcomb Springs Suites are being adjusted and monitored by the Resort Municipality of Whistler.

Photos with Santa - Whistler Food Bank Fundraiser

Christmas Eve Candlelight Service

Where: Whistler Community Church

Date: December 24, 2021

Time: 4:30PM & 6:30PM

Enjoy a service filled with singalong Christmas carols and celebrate the birth of Jesus with members of the community and visitors from around the world. Refreshments will be available after the service. Registration is required and as per the Provincial health orders, the church is limited to 50% capacity, so seating will be limited. Skate with Santa

Where: Whistler Olympic Plaza

Date: December 24, 2021

Time: 3:00PM - 5:00PM

Join Santa for a skate on the outdoor rink at Whistler Olympic Plaza on Christmas Eve! Admission is only $2 per person if you have your own skates, or $8 per person if you require skate rentals. 

New Year's Eve Dining

As a result of the new Provincial Health Orders, any indoor, organized New Year's Eve event has been cancelled.
