Prepare for a week-long celebration of diversity and inclusivity from January 21st to 28th, 2024 at the renowned Whistler Pride and Ski Festival. This vibrant event embraces the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and allies, offering an array of activities both on and off the slopes. From exhilarating ski days to a parade and themed parties, this festival embodies the spirit of unity and joy. Read on to find out what to expect and what events are happening during the festival.
Whistler Pride Ski-Out and Parade
When: January 26, 2024

You absolutely can't miss the signature event of the festival. Come to the base of Whistler and cheer for the pride flag-bearing skiers and snowboarders as they slide from Whistler mid-station to Whistler Village. Afterward, feel free to join the the festivities to accompany the flag on its route through the village. The route ends at the Whistler Conference Centre and that's where the Friday T-party begin, join the crowd and dance to the lively music!
Skiing Extravaganza

An exhilarating array of skiing activities are happening daily on the mountains. From novice to expert, there are slopes for everyone. From free ski and snowboard guided groups everyday during the festival to learn the mountains and meet people to slide with, to the Charity Ski Race to test out your skills, you will not have a dull day on the mountain!
Apres-Ski Socials
When: 3 PM to 6 PM, January 22 - 24, 2024

After a day on the slopes, the village comes alive with apres-ski socials. Bars and lounges in Whistler buzz with energy as festival-goers gather to share stories, make new friends, and celebrate the spirit of togetherness at official festival après. It's a perfect way to unwind and connect with fellow attendees.
SNOWBALL – THE MAIN EVENT

The Whistler Pride and Ski Festival concludes with an extraordinary main event! Immerse yourself in an electrifying experience with dazzling lights, lasers, and cutting-edge technology. Dance until 4 AM and do not miss the fierce performances of Canada’s Drag Race Season 4 WINNER – VENUS! It's the grand finale that perfectly caps off an incredible week.
Youth Friendly Event - Pride Movie Night
When: 8:30 PM - 9:00 PM, January 26, 2024
Where: Whistler Conference Centre
This movie night is suitable for everyone of all ages! Come and watch a BC-made documentary that explores queer identiy in mountain towns and snow sports. "People Like Us" follows Ryan as he connects with the queer community of Revelstoke, seeking their opinions and stories and relationship with mountain culture, in the hope of building perspective into what it is like to be queer in a rural setting. This documentary celebrate the existence of queer folks in non-urban settings, and show that healthy queer communities can flourish in small towns.
